NFL Draft Reports (Safeties)

-Welcome to a new series where me and Jesus Martinez scout some of the best athletes in this years draft. As more and more information is given, we will update accordingly. Or maybe not. We are humans too. In this report we look at general information of a prospect, his off field history, strengths and weaknesses on the field, a summary and a draft projection. Without further ado, lets begin.

Ahmad Thomas (S) 40 yard dash:
School: Oklahoma 20 yard shuttle:
H&W: 6’0, 217 lbs Bench Press:

  • Does not create many turnover--3 in the last 2 season

Ahmad Thomas will likely fly under the radar during this draft.  Big name prospects like Jamal Adams and Malik Hooker will overshadow Thomas, but he has the potential to be a gem. The senior out of Oklahoma has all the tools to be great. His coverage skills are solid and he is a tackle machine. He could stop the run and deliver big hits. However, in the NFL he will need to create more turnover because that was not something he excelled at in his collegiate career.

Draft Grades:
Coverage:6
Tackling:8
Athleticism: 7
Hitting:8.5

Grade:7.5

Projection: 3rd round
