You ahead and spike if you want.
The All-Pro New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski will be on the Madden 16 Cover, as announced by EA Sports just hours ago. He beat out other finalists Cam Newton and Antonio Brown. He is coming off what would be a great day, as he was on the cover of G.Q today with Hailey Clauson.
The 27 year old tight end is rewarded of two hard years of work, as 2300 yards and 23 TD's finally pay off. The Tight End is one of the highest rating TE in Madden 16, at 99 ovr. His rating will likely stay the same when Madden 17 drops.
When asked about being on the cover by SportsCenter, Gronk responded:
"When I first found out, I was blessed. It was a surreal moment. I really didn't celebrate it. ... It was a feel-good moment, for sure, to know that you're going to be on the cover of Madden in the category of so many elite players out there that have been on it before. I've been close to being on the cover of Madden. Last year, I lost to Odell; he's an excellent player," Gronkowski said. "When I found out that I was truly going to be on the cover, it was a great feeling."
"My rookie year [in 2010], it was just an honor to be in the game, just using yourself as a player, throwing yourself the ball every single time you can at home, just playing the game," Gronkowski told SportsCenter. "Now it's a dream come true, going into my seventh season and being on the cover.
It's hard not to get excited when looking at the Madden 17 cover:
