OVERVIEW:
Njoku is one elite prospect to look at, yet his career at Miami took some odd turns before he could get to that elite status. Coming in as a receiver, Njoku redshirted his freshman year before Al Golden decided to try him out at Linebacker because of the thin depth at the position at the time. He then would transition to Tight End, eventually being the best position he selected. At his two years at TE, he didn’t disappoint, accumulating over 1000 yards in his career. Now he is in a unique situation. Njoku declared his RS Sophomore year, after great performances against Duke and West Virginia. The 2017 Tight End class in one of the best in recent memory, and Njoku is at the forefront of the group, along with OJ Howard. His upside is what makes him unique, as he has a lot of potential, and is only 20 years old. He has good build for his position, as he may want to bulk up to 250-260 pounds. He has amazing speed for his size, running a 4.65 at the combine. He has issues catching the ball (6+ drops this year), and A freak in terms of athleticism, he looks to be selected in the Top 20, well deserving for this man.
DRAFT PROJECTION: MID 1ST ROUND
