8:16 PM: RAMS SELECT JARED GOFF

With the 1st pick in the 2016 NFL draft the Los Angeles Rams select.. QB Jared Goff.
No surprise here, this team is in desperate need of need a of a franchise QB and they got one. His accuracy is a bit of a concern but he has great pocket mobility and will be a star in the NFL.

8:23 PM: EAGLES SELECT CARSON WENTZ

The Eagles select QB Carson Wentz with the #2 overall pick. There is controversy in Philly over how much they gave up to move up. If one thing is certain, they get a QB with a cannon for an arm. The one question is, who will start week 1?

8:31 PM: CHARGERS SELECT JOEY BOSA

First surprise of the night! Chargers take DE Joey Bosa. He has great versatility and will really help a mediocre Chargers defense.

8:41 PM: COWBOYS SELECT EZEKIEL ELLIOT

With the 4th pick Dallas takes Zeke. The offense in Dallas is looking dangerous. Elliot is an explosive back, he's drawn comparisons to Adrian Peterson and he'll running behind the best offensive line in the NFL.

8:50 PM: JAGUARS SELECT JALEN RAMSEY

With the 5th pick, the Jacksonville Jaguars select DB Jalen Ramsey out of Florida state. The #1 player on my board, it's still uncertain whether he will be a safety or a corner. He has the talent to play both and it won't be long until he's an All-Pro player.

8:57 PM: RAVENS SELECT RONNIE STANLEY

With the 6th pick, the Ravens select, Ronnie Stanley. The All-American will help protect Joe Flacco, who is coming off an ACL injury.

9:03 PM: 49ERS SELECT DEFOREST BUCKNER

The 49ers select DeForest Buckner with the 7th overall pick. A rebuilding team will add a great pass rusher to help bolster the defense.

-------------------------------TITANS TRADE UP FOR 8th OVERALL PICK--------------------------------------

9:08 PM: TITANS SELECT JACK CONKLIN 

Tennessee trades up to the 8th pick and selects Jack Conklin. The Titans add to their offensive line in effort to protect Oregon QB Marus Mariota. They could have picked Tunsil, but leaked images of him smoking will drop his status. We'll see how he is as the draft moves along.

9:13 PM: BEARS SELECT LEONARD FLOYD

Chicago trades up in the draft to take Leonard Floyd. He is a very versatile player, explosive at the line of scrimmage, and great is coverage. The Bears linebacker corps is looking solid. 

9:21 PM: GIANTS SELECT ELI APPLE

The Giants select Eli Apple with the 10th overall pick. They will put him in the secondary with Janoris Jenkins and DRC.

------------------------------BUCS TRADE UP FOR THE 11TH OVERALL PICK--------------------------------

9:28 PM: BUCS SELECT VERNON HAREGRAVES III

The Tampa Bay Bucs traded for the 11th overall pick, and with the selection they select Vernon Haregraves out of Florida. This is a really explosive player who holds trememndous pass coverage. He resembles to another Florida DB, Joe Haden. Let's see if he pans out that way.

9:34 PM: SAINTS SELECT SHELDON RANKINS

With the 12th overall pick, the New Orleans Saints select Sheldon Rankins out of Louisville. He will join the big easy in order to bolster their front seven.

DOLPHINS SELECT TUNSIL. BEFORE THE LEAKED VID, HE WAS A TOP 3 PROJECTED PICK.

9:38 PM: DOLPHINS SELECT LAREMY TUNSIL 

The Dolphins get a huge steal in the draft, as they were able to select a projected top 5 pick in Laremy Tunsil. Tunsil fits the frame to be an elite OT in the league, as he his build (6'6, 305) fits the prototypical offensive lineman. But hard not to feel for the kid. His incident cost him 12 million in salary, although he's the best ranked OT in the draft. He's probably going through a mix of emotions right now. 

9:42 PM: RAIDERS SELECT KARL JOSEPH

With the 14th pick, the Raiders select Karl Joseph from West Virginia. He is a great player, as he has the potential to be the next Earl Thomas. The concern with him is that he has not been healthy for most of the year, thus there isn't enough game tape for NFL GM's to see. But he is a stud when healthy. He will be the successor to the HOF DB Charles Woodson. 

9:45 PM: BROWNS SELECT COREY COLEMAN

With the 15th overall pick, the Browns select Corey Coleman from Baylor. He is an explosive player with underrated strength who can be an immediate impact on Day 1. He looks to replace Josh Gordon, who is currently attempting to reinstate himself into the NFL.  

9:52 PM: LIONS SELECT TAYLOR DECKER

The Detroit Lions select Taylor Decker from Ohio State. This makes 4 Ohio State players selected in the first round, which could possibly break Miami's record of most first round picks in a draft (2004, 6 players). 

9:57 PM: FALCONS SELECT KEANU NEAL

Keanu Neal is selected by the Falcons with the 17th overall pick. The Florida DB was projected to go to the 2nd or 3rd round, but after recent mock drafts suggesting otherwise, the Falcons took a chance on him. He pairs up with Ricardo Allen, Kemal Ishmael and Desmond Trufant in the secondary. 

10:00 PM: COLTS SELECT RYAN KELLY

With the 18th pick, the Indianapolis Colts select, Ryan Kelly out of Alabama. I predicted the pick correctly within my Mock Draft, as he is ready to help out a horrendous Colts O-Line. His greatest achievement was making holes for 2,000 yard rusher Derrick Henry. 

10:04 PM: BILLS SELECT SHAQ LAWSON

The Buffalo Bills selected Shaq Lawson out of Clemson. He looks to contribute on what is already a great Bills defense. UPDATE: B/R reports Shaq Lawson will need shoulder surgery, which will take 4-6 months to heal.

10:11 PM: JETS SELECT DARRON LEE

The New York Jets select Darron Lee with the 20th overall pick. The Fiesta Bowl MVP has drawn comparisons to Ryan Shazier after a stellar Combine performance. He declared after his redshirt sophomore year, and joins four other Buckeyes within the first round. 

10:15 PM: TEXANS SELECT WILL FULLER

Will Fuller is selected by the Houston Texans. He will compliment DeAndre Hopkins as the WR2. 

*OHIO STATE UPDATE*

-The Buckeyes are on pace to set a record in the draft. They have 5 first round picks in the first 20. and could tie the 2004 Miami Draft Class record with 6 first round picks. They already had 3 players selected in the top 5, and 4 in the top 10. Let's see what happens next..

10:22 PM: REDSKINS SELECT JOSH DOCTSON

 Josh Doctson is selected with the 22nd overall pick. He adds another weapon for Kirk Cousins offense.

10:26 PM: VIKINGS SELECT LAQUON TREADWELL

Laquon Treadwell is selected 23rd overall by the Minnesota Vikings. After a 4.65 at his recent pro day, there is understanding to why he dropped in the draft. He still has talent to be a Pro Bowler for years to come.  

10:31 PM: BENGALS SELECT WILLIAM JACKSON III

William Jackson is selected 24th overall. He will look to assist a Bengals secondary and help them win a playoff game.

10:37 PM: STEELERS SELECT ARTIE BURNS

ARTIE!!! Artie Burns is selected with the 25th overall pick, who haven't selected a first round corner in a while. He is a raw prospect, and his technique could use some work. But his ball skills and playmaking ability make him a solid prospect coaches will love in training camp.

10:45 PM: BRONCOS SELECT PAXTON LYNCH

With that pick, the Broncos select Paxton Lynch from Memphis. He will be the successor to legend Peyton Manning and hopes to win the starting job and lead the team back to the playoffs.

10:51 PM: PACKERS SELECT KENNY CLARK

Kenny Clark from UCLA is selected with the 27th pick. It is shocking to see Clark selected and not consensus top 5 player Myles Jack, especially since multiple mock drafts didn't have Clark selected in the first round.

10:57 PM: 49ERS SELECT JOSHUA GARNETT

The 49ers trade up to receive the 28th overall pick, and with their selection take Joshua Garnett, the Offensive Tackle out of Stanford.

11:03 PM: CARDINALS SELECT ROBERT NKEMDICHE

The Arizona Cardinals select Robert Nkemdiche with the 29th overall pick. He can be a great pro bowl caliber player who if can get his act together, can make an immediate impact in the league. He has a very high ceiling (No Pun Intended).

11:07 PM: PANTHERS SELECT VERNON BUTLER

11:10 PM: SEAHAWKS SELECT GERMAN IFEDI

This is the end of the first round. What a blockbuster day one of the NFL Draft! Tunsil fell out of the top 10, multiple prospects sneaked into the first round, and Ohio State made a statement with 5 players selected in the first round. 32 players selected, 224 to go.
